TECTONIQ TO TARGET COPPER AND BASE METALS IN NEWLY AWARDED BOLIVIAN PROSPECTING AND EXPLORATION LICENSE
Melbourne, Australia
Tectoniq, a cutting-edge mineral exploration company utilising proprietary geological models and predictive tools, has been granted its first prospecting and exploration license in the highly prospective “Bolivian Tin Belt”. The Tanka Tanka license encompasses an area of 125 km2 and is situated in Cochabamba state, approximately 150 km northwest of Potosi.
Tanka Tanka is strategically positioned in an underexplored segment of a historically highly mineralised trend extending from the Corocoro Cu system in the northwest through Oruro to Potosi; the world’s largest Ag-Sn-Zn system. This section of the polymetallic belt has yet to benefit from modern exploration techniques. Leveraging state of the art technologies and machine learning Tectoniq have identified potential high value copper, base metal and critical minerals targets which have been verified over a number of field trips resulting in lodgement of this application and several others which are still under review.
Dr Bruce Schaefer, director and co-founder of Tectoniq commented:
“We are excited to have been awarded this license which is the first acquisition in a series of opportunities we are working on. This award is the culmination of 2 years focused work maturing critical mineral targets across the Altiplano”
Dr Jon Teasdale
Director
